1. Our Mission
Mission Statement The mission of Faith Lutheran Church is to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ through Word and Sacrament, and to encourage all people to share that Good News in daily life.
Hope. Peace. Joy. Love. These gifts of God shape who we are and how we serve.
2. Who We Are: The Lutheran Tradition
Who Are Lutherans?
Lutherans are Christians who trace their heritage to the 16th‑century Reformation led by Martin Luther. Our faith centers on God’s grace, the authority of Scripture, and the saving work of Jesus Christ.
Core Beliefs
-
Grace Alone (Sola Gratia): We are saved by God’s grace alone — a gift freely given, not earned.
-
Faith Alone (Sola Fide): We receive God’s promises through faith — trusting in Christ above all else.
-
Scripture Alone (Sola Scriptura): The Bible is the foundation of our teaching, preaching, and life together.
What We Confess
-
The Triune God: Father, Son (Jesus Christ), and Holy Spirit — one God, now and forever.
-
The Gospel: Jesus Christ lived, died, and rose again so that we may receive forgiveness, new life, and a restored relationship with God.
3. Our Wider Church: The ELCA
Faith Lutheran Church is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) — one of the largest Christian denominations in the United States.

Bonus: A Word of Welcome
We are a small but joy‑filled congregation, and we delight in welcoming new brothers and sisters in Christ. As one of our beloved supply pastors often said:
“The table is prepared — come and receive the gift of God for the people of God. This is not the Lutheran table; it is the Lord’s Table. All are welcome.”
